A GREENDALE woman lost US$15 000 and a laptop, which were in her parked car, while visiting a patient in Avondale on Wednesday.
The thieves struck at St Anne’s Hospital in Harare.
“Ennie Mhende parked her black Toyota Vanguard at St Anne’s Hospital and visited a patient. Upon returning, she noticed that the rear left quarter glass had been broken.
“Her laptop, cash and a travelling bag were stolen,” Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, said.
In another incident, ZRP Braeside Primary School lost various textbooks to thieves who broke into some classrooms on Wednesday.
The school’s caretaker noticed the theft in the morning when she saw that a door frame latch holder had been broken.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Insp Chakanza said they have begun investigations into the theft.
