CAPS United striker John Zhuwawo said their 2-0 win over Yadah at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday will work as a confidence booster ahead of the big fixture against city rivals Dynamos.
CAPS got their goals from Zhuwawu and Joel Ngodzo either half.
The win saw CAPS bouncing back to winning ways having gone for four games without a win.
Makepekepe will face DeMbare in their next encounter.
“This win came at the right time, we needed it like a week before.
“It is a big boost for us going into the derby. It’s one of the games you need to be at your level best morale wise.
“This win brings confidence in us as players, it gives us that faith and we know that we can. This result shows that we have corrected our previous mistakes and that is a plus on our side,” said Zhuwawu.
Zhuwawu said they had to bounce back to their winning ways against Yadah.
“We have put our house in order and we are now back for business. We are all about getting the three points in all our remaining matches.
“We have dropped enough points already. Now that we are back on the track the plan is to have a little bit of consistency. Consistency will win us the league,” he added.
Zhuwawu said they are still in the title race.
They are third on the log tied on 26 points with chicken Inn, two behind log leaders FC Platinum.
