ZIMBABWEAN stars Tino Kadewere and Knox Mutizwa are topping the scorers’ charts in their respective leagues.
Kadewere, who plays for Le Havre in the French Ligue 2, has scored 15 goals in 16 matches while Mutizwa, who plays for ABSA side Golden Arrows, is on eight goals.
Mutizwa scored the opening goal in his team’s 2-1 loss to Black Leopards on Saturday.
Kadewere had a brace in their 2-1 win over Rodez AF on Friday.
SuperSport United winger Kuda Mahachi scored his second goal of the season in their 1 all draw against Stellenbosch on Saturday.
Mahachi has started in seven games out of 13 so far.
“To be topping the list is something that’s awesome, it shows how hard I’ve been trying and I’m just happy about it.
“It’s a good thing though I must keep working hard because I need to maintain it like that.
“Yes l would like to win the golden boot if possible and I would also like to give credit to my players because at the end of the day it all comes to teamwork,” said Kadewere.
The-23-year old has four braces this season.
“I also want to thank God for the gift and for the strength he has been giving me.
“I also want to thank my family for their support,” he said.
