Rt Rev Bishop Melody Unity Sakala Makore at the ceremony

A ZIMBABWEAN based in the United Kingdom was last week consecrated as the first lady Rt Rev Bishop at a ceremony held in Birmingham.

The first lady bishop, Apostle Melody Unity Sakala-Makore was consecrated at a Historical, Peace & Divine Event at the Birmingham University by His Eminence the Patriarch Dr Madhu Krishan who is The Founder and Chairman of Academy of Universal Global Peace.

The centre has branches in more than 77 countries in the world.

Apostle Melody Unity Sakala-Makore also got the Academy Noble Award for the 2016 and the Golden Award For Human Excellence and For Women Empowerment during the consecration ceremony.

UKApostle Eugene Makore, Prophet Takudzwa, Samantha Paidamoyowashe Chihata, Shaliz Chimutengo, Winston George Ellis and other prominent peace builders of various nations were also given the awards, trophies and gold medals.

The programme has an aim of transforming more than 30 000 peace builders every year.

“We have our successful accomplishment of adding more than 20 000 women every year in the self-sustainable livelyhood program and women empowerment.

“5 000 youths drop out of school every year to the non-formal education system and (there is need) to bring them back to main stream of the society, to work against the human trafficking, for working successfully for the global emerging issues like protection of fragile eco-system and working hard for bringing back the youths from the clutch of terrorism mafia while ultimately establishing a global peace culture worldwide,” said Dr Krishan.

Apostle Dr Eugene Makore, while addressing the gathering told said Bishop Melody Makore was a lovely wife God given to him.

“A devoted mother to her biological as well as children in faith. She always thinks of other people first and at times gets herself into trouble because of her mistaken kind side.

“Firm in the ministry and call. She balances well between family and ministry. Not easily shaken by moving tides and always desires the best in everyone. She ever goes an extra mile to get people reach their full potential.

“I round her up as a mentor, mother and life coach. Beautiful inside out without a further of doubt. I wish her all the best in her great assignment ahead,” said Apostle Makore. C

Rt Rev Bishop Melody Makore expressed her gratitude to Dr Krishan for considering her worthy of becoming the first ever first lady bishop of KCIC and assured that she will follow the Biblical principles while abide in under the mentorship of the Dr Krishan.
