…Popular radio presenter dies at 30

…Shocked Zimboz salute Trishdar

ZIMBABWEANS yesterday woke up to news that former Capitalk breakfast presenter, Talent Trishdar Chademana died on Saturday evening after a short illness.

She was 30.

Talent, a respected development practitioner, researcher and communications consultant, was producer/presenter of Start-Up Capital Breakfast Show on Capitalk 100.4 FM until April this year when she joined Sivio Institute as a senior policy officer.

According to online information, Talent worked in Zimbabwean civil society for close to five years and held an MA in Development Studies from ISS Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Capitalk announced Talent’s death on Twitter at around 9pm on Saturday.

Capitalk boss Napoleon ‘Napster’ Nyanhi said the death of Talent is a big loss.

“Talent was a headstrong and hard working person who strived for greatness. She left the station in April but remained part of us as she continued to frequent the studio.

“She was now doing policy analysis with some research company but it didn’t stop her from being one of us,” he said.

Napster added that Talent was a dedicated person whose departure is a great loss, not only for Capitalk but Zimbabwe as a nation.

“Talent shared ideas and was greatly opinionated broadcaster. She is one of the founding members of the Capitalk Breakfast session. She was very talented and someone who allowed nothing to stop her from achieving her goals.”

Below are some of the comments on Twitter:
