SOUTH Africa-based comedian, Q Dube, will reconnect with his motherland when he performs at Reps Theatre on August 12, in the capital.
The award-winning comedian, who has shared the stage with some of the best in the world, will be performing the show dubbed “I Wish I Was Joking”.
One of the organisers of the show, Wishart Mashipe, said Q Dube would be performing his latest comedy show.
“In his latest comedy night show ‘I Wish I Was Joking’ Q Dube makes a date with Reps Theatre main stage on Friday, 12 August. It’s a show he has worked on during lockdown and post lockdown. Advance tickets are selling at The Reps Theatre box office,” said Mashipe.
Mashipe added:
“Q Dube is a talented comedian, no wonder why he was the NAMA Stand-up Comedian of the Year in 2017.
“Q Dube is a seasoned comedian having performed in Zambia, United Kingdom, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Eswatini.
“His performance is flawless and like wine he continues to improve with age.
“The crowd loves Q and Q loves the crowd, his stage presence is brilliant,” he told H-Metro.
Q Dube is a stand-up comedian, radio personality, TV presenter, actor, voice over artist, wedding and Corporate function Director of Ceremonies.
He has shared the stage with Trevor Noah, Basketmouth, Anne Kansiime, Edi Kadii , Loyiso Gola , Alfred Kainga, Long John, The Goliaths, to name but a few.
He has also performed at a number of comedy festivals — HIFA, Shoko Festival, Johannesburg International Comedy Festival and Swaziland Bushfire Festival.
