Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services guitarist Elphas Mashamba says he will not leave the correctional outfit despite going solo.
Mashamba who also plays the rhythm guitar said he wants to take his solo career seriously.
“I have played for a number of seasoned artistes namely Jah Prayzah,Sulu, Terry Afrika and Ammara Brown.
“I think it now time for me to grow as well, I will not be leaving ZPS band it’s like family and I breathe the music we make together with those guys.
“I am working on releasing an album which I am likely to be the instrumentalist on almost every song,” said Mashamba.
The band leader who just graduated from the Zimbabwe College of Music said he is likely to get promoted on his ranks in the band.
“I have finished with my studies and I look forward to being uplifted on ranks in the band, which is a very great achievement to me,” he said.
